Our first project for the NHS: refurbishment of staff residential accommodation at Eastbourne District General Hospital, covering the Jenner, Ellis and Nightingale staff quarters. The project is currently on site, so there are no figures, photos or client feedback to share yet — but here's the scope of works as tendered.
Scope of works (as tendered)
Jenner House — main building & duplex apartment
- New kitchens, bathrooms and WCs across the staff bedsit flats
- Replacement light fittings and floor coverings throughout
- Full decorative refurbishment of every flat
- Timber window replacements and external timber repairs
- Power and data provision to the duplex apartment
Ellis House
- Strip-out and refurbishment of staff bedsit flats across first and second floor blocks
- New Wi-Fi and data infrastructure, including a new hub room and CCTV data points
- Timber-framed skirting ducts to carry new power, data and water services into each bedsit
- Contract clean-down and O&M manuals on completion
Site-wide
- Site compound and welfare set-up, with access maintained to plant rooms and hospital facilities throughout
- Coordination around a pre-refurbishment asbestos survey ahead of works commencing
- Work programmed to minimise noise disturbance and disruption to the occupied building
